Communication
Communication is vital to supporting your children in getting the most out of their time at Icknield High School. There are a number of ways that we do this
How you can contact the school:
You can find important information on our website www.icknield.beds.sch.uk
You can ring us on 01582 576561 between 8:00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You can leave a message if we are busy, or it is out of hours.
You can email any member of staff. Our email addresses are "initialsurname@icknield.beds.sch.uk", so Mrs Smith is "zsmith@icknield.beds.sch.uk" for example.
A list of contacts can be found on the school's contact page in the main menu.
If you would like to meet a specific member of staff in person, please phone or email in advance and make an appointment.
How we will contact you:
|
EduLink One– the majority of messages to parents will come from EduLink One. We will send you a link so that you can register to receive messages, either via email or the My Ed App. |
|
Social Media – Our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts are used to broadcast news and events about the school. We will not reply to messages sent to us on Social Media. |
|
Email – Individual teachers will send you messages directly from their email account if they need to. |
|
Microsoft Teams – We will set all homework on Teams. This will be the same as student login. |
|
Phone – We will phone when we can, during normal working hours. |
|
Post - We send letters home in the post, but we try to keep this to a minimum and use e-mails where possible. |
We will do our best to reply to a voice message or email within 24 hours.
We take safeguarding very seriously, so please be understanding if we protect young people by refusing to give out any information over the phone or by email.
